Day of Defeat: Source has a great gameplay, which is set during World War II in Europe. The aim of the game is to capture all control points on the map, destroying all enemy targets or a combination of problems. The game focuses on team tactics. Playing as any of six different classes, players interact with each other using the built-in communication system to coordinate attacks and defense. Being armed with unique weapons, each class acts out a role for the success of the team. The game is similar to COUNTER-STRIKE SOURCE.

Included in the game, the participant chooses between two warring factions: the Wehrmacht and the Allies, as well as the six classes. Each team has a fixed area of ​​appearance, in which players respawn after death. In the case of death, each player becomes part of the reinforcement, from which he could watch the battle, but can not influence its outcome. In multiplayer you have to kill enemies, but victory depends on the performance of tasks that currently can be of two types: the capture of key points on the map – Capture may require one or several people. The second mode – Detonation (erosion / mining). Here the men need to take the explosives from the cargo and put it on the point of the enemy, while protecting their point.
